Drums'n'Percussion 2023Europe's largest percussion festival is back: From April 28th to May 1st, international percussion stars will meet in the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum.

There is Bertram Engel, who sits on the drums for Udo Lindenberg and Peter Maffay. Bertram Engel will also bring other musicians from the Panikorchester with him and will open the first evening together with Uli Frost and Lenny Castro. Other guests include Jost Nickel (Jan Delay) and Lenny Castro, who has played for numerous superstars such as the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Toto Percussion.

Dave Weckl is just as legendary with Tom Kennedy and Eric Marienthal, who have become known for their work with Chick Corea. Tom Schäfer, Dirk Brand (Axxis), Elke Marleen Schumacher, Brigitte Volkert and Frank Itt are other well-known names on the list.

The professionals pass on their knowledge in all-day workshops, present different aspects of their work and, of course, involve the participants in their work. A workshop highlight for the 50th anniversary of the Panikorchester will be the 3-day workshop by Bertram Engel, Steffi Stephan and Benny Young on the topic "Don't panic when making music". In the evenings, the musicians inspire in four concerts that serve different music genres from jazz to rock. Advance sales for the all-day workshops and concerts have already begun.

The organizers of the festival are the association Drums and Percussion Paderborn e. V. and the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, with the significant support of the city of Paderborn and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia under the artistic direction of Uli Frost.
